I am beyond excited you are joining us at this time!

While you are at Ci Psychiatry, completing your internship hours, I want you to come in to have fun! I want you to learn how to therapeutically communicate with a team of licensed clinicians and amazing clients to help you feel prepared in your role as a future psychiatric provider within the mental health & wellness profession.

I will CHALLENGE you during this rotation.
I will also COMFORT you during this rotation.
Most importantly, I will TEACH you.
The value in my student mentorship is greatest for students who are willing to show up on time, work hard and be willing to grow professionally and personally.
I encourage self-directed learning, building relationships, providing emotional/educational support and leadership skills.
What I ask from you is to be honest with me, ask me questions, show up on time and be willing to put yourself in the role of an EXCEPTIONAL and PROFESSIONAL provider of care that is currently meeting the highest demands nationally within the psychiatric profession.
I ask for you to not engage in any activity that results in inappropriate financial or personal benefit to themselves or loss to the client. Inappropriate behavior includes neglect and/or verbal, physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse. Also, do not exchange gifts with clients, do not accept or give any gifts/money from or to clients at any facility.
If at any point you are struggling with something academically or personally during this rotation, I am here to listen and offer you support.
I am here for YOU! I want you to not only succeed, but also be highly competent and resilient in your professional role as a PMHNP!
I look forward to meeting you and helping you grow individually and professionally during this semester!

The pandemic accelerated trends that were already heading in the wrong direction.
Experts say that reversing course will require concentrated efforts – and it will take time, both strategically and ideologically.
